They have an exclusive counter-current self-cleaning first stage with a stainless steel net cartridge and a filtration degree of 90 microns; the second stage refines the filtration to 25 microns thanks to a wound wire cartridge; the third stage instead is the treatment using granulated activated carbon or carbon-block.

This way the unpleasant characteristics that rainwater takes on during its journey all the way to the accumulation tank are eliminated. The impurities collected by the first stage can be ejected manually, using the drain tap and funnel with an anti-reflux system.

The three-stage self-cleaning rainwater filters are available with a 1” IN/OUT connection and plastic thread BSP.

Cleaning operations are carried out manually by the valve at the filter bottom opening up: in just a few seconds, the reverse flow of the water ejects all the impurities deposited on the cartridge surface, restoring the filter to its initial conditions.

The effectiveness of the self-cleaning process is guaranteed by the special anti-backflow device which prevents water from going back to the filter.

HYDRA BIG is equipped with two special washable filtering cartridges: RAH BIG (stainless steel mesh) and RLH BIG (polyester mesh), both available with a filtration degree of 50 and 90 microns.

The maximum flow rate goes from 6000 l/h with 1” models to 15000 l/h with 1”1/2 models (from 26 to 66 gpm).

Available 1” and 1”1/2 versions with BSPP and NPT plastic connections and 1” versions with BSPP and NPT-Lead Free brass connections.

Versions available with two pressure gauges.

The cleaning operations are simple and within reach for everyone: they can take place manually by opening the drain ball valve at the bottom of the filter, or automatically, thanks to the dedicated kit auto. Process efficiency is guaranteed by the drain system designed to block reflux of the ejected water.

The Hydra self-cleaning water filter is suitable for three SX (DOE) special cartridges: RAH (stainless steel net), RLH (polyester net) and RSH (plated polypropylene net), designed for different functions and filtration levels. The IN/OUT connections available are 1/2”, 3/4”, 1”, 1”1/4”, 1”1/2” with brass or plastic thread BSP, or plastic with NPT thread 3/4”, 1” and 1/2”.

The recommended capacity intervals go from 3000 to 10000 l/h. The M model is also available with two manometers and a broad range of accessories and spare parts.
